Political needs made CPM ductile and malleable

CPM Kerala organised an exhibition titled "Marx is Correct", at Tiruvanantapuram, in Feb. 2012.

The exhibition has a painting of Jesus as a voice of the suppressed.

The picture of the crucified Christ described him "as a social reformer who emancipated Jews from slavery."

We can NOT AVOID making a deduction that CPM wanted to woo the Christian vote bank in Kerala.

Some Churches in Kerala may also have the same opinion-- CPM is trying to curry-favor the Christian voters.

See this quote:

"Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free. You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him." (Ephesians 6:5-9, WEB)

What does the above preaching say? Be obedient to your masters! God decides who will be a master and who will be a servant (slave). The words 'bound or free' clearly indicates that this passage refers to slaves and masters. Of course, as per the quote, God rewards and punishes both the masters and the slaves. It says that God has no partiality!

YBREM : Really? Then why should God create slaves at all? Why should he create masters at all? He should have created everybody as free citizens with nearly equal opportunities, income and wealth. It is very clear that God is not egalitarian. How can the God's son (Jesus and his apostles) be egalitarian?

YBREM: CPM should, therefore, stick to the original Marxist view that religion is opium. If any amends are necessary, it can make them only after a Nation-wide discussion. CPM changing it in an exhibition, is like changing the basic structure of a Country's Constitution.

CPM should not behave like bourgeois political parties of the mainstream, which try to cater to the interests of religions and castes depending on the voters' mixes of the Constituencies.
