#2 SECULARISM IN INDIA 2007

Secularism in India has been much maligned. If anybody is foolishly nursing a belief that left parties will safeguard secularism in India, they will be miltching a dry cow. In deceptively and forcibly removing the Bangla Desh writer Ms. Taslima Nasreen, the CPM Government in West Bengal proved the futility of expecting the Left Parties to defend secularism.

The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh said:

“Unity and secularism will be the motto of the government. We can't afford divisive polity in India"

BLOGGER'S VIEW
What his Government has done?

*Reservations for Muslims
*Taking count of Muslims in Army
*Appointment of Sachar Commission
*Separate allocation of quota for Muslims in Bank Loans.

I have nothing against Muslims. The true meaning of Secularism is worth checking:
